Amit Kumar

Home

I finished my PhD in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Maryland-College Park. I am also associated with Center for for Automation Research (CFAR) and UMD Institute of Advanced Computer Studies (UMIACS). My research interests are in the areas of Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Optimization and Deep Learning. My research advisor is Professor Rama Chellappa.

I did my undergraduate studies at Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur(IITKGP) in the department of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering along with a minor in Computer Science and Engineering. I finished my masters in the same department as a part of Dual Degree program.

I joined as Research Scientist in Facebook, Menlo Park.
